Craft supplies needed:
- cardstock – You can use white or try colored cardstock for a unique look.
- washable paints – Brown works well for a classic reindeer, but kids can choose any color they like.
- coloring pens
- paintbrush
- googly eyes and glue (Optional)
- Wipes – These are helpful for quick clean-ups and keeping your workspace tidy!
How to create
Start by printing the reindeer handprint template on a single page, set to portrait orientation.
We recommend using cardstock for a sturdier, more vibrant result, but regular printer paper works, too.
Let the kids pick their handprint colors for a personalized reindeer. Brown is a classic choice, but any color can add a festive touch.
Using a small paintbrush, apply a thin layer of paint to one of their hands. Having wipes nearby will make cleanup a breeze.
Place one painted hand pointing up to form the antlers. For the legs, press the other hand facing downward. Apply even pressure to ensure a full handprint transfer.
Gently lift the child’s hand to avoid smudging. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on.
Once dry, you can glue on googly eyes, color in snowflakes, and add any extra touches. A red nose is a fun addition if you want to turn your reindeer into Rudolph!
