Sometimes kids just need a low-key activity to reset during a busy holiday, and this Mother’s Day word puzzle does the trick. It’s fun, simple, and sneaks in a little learning too.

The words can be found in all directions—up, down, backwards, and diagonally—to keep it interesting. If they finish too quickly, I’ve included black and white heart mandalas for extra coloring time.

Tip: Use a highlighter or circle the letters when you find a word—don’t cross them out, since some letters are used in more than one word.
