How to use
Print out the template below, it will print out on one full page. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your emails within 5 minutes.
You can of course print this on normal printer paper, but with all of our crafts, they always look better on cardstock.
Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use, we have chosen orange for our lions mane.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Place their hands with their fingers pointing upwards with their palms on either side of the lion’s face. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull your child’s hand off really gently to avoid any smudges.
Let the paint dry completely before coloring in the letter L and the lion’s face.
The most important thing though is just to have fun with this handprint art!
Afterward, why not plan a trip to the zoo to see lions up close? And don’t forget to grab our free zoo scavenger hunt printable for a full day of learning and adventure!
