Supplies needed
Here’s what you’ll need to create this jellyfish handprint craft:
- cardstock
- washable paints
- paintbrush
- kids glue
- googly eyes (Optional)
- Wipes!! (for quick cleanup and keeping your workspace neat!)
How to use
Print the template below; it will print on a full page. Check your spam folder if the template doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes.
While regular printer paper works, cardstock often gives a sturdier, more vibrant result for crafts like this.
Let the kids pick their colors—we used purple for our jellyfish, but any color will work!
Using a small paintbrush, apply a thin layer of paint to their hands. Have wipes nearby for quick cleanup.
Position their hands with fingers pointing downward, placing their palms at the bottom of the jellyfish’s face. Press firmly to ensure a clear print.
Gently lift their hand off to avoid smudging.
Allow the paint to dry fully before coloring in the letter J and adding details to the jellyfish’s face.
Tip: If your kids want more details, let them add extra ‘tentacles’ or color in ocean backgrounds around their jellyfish.
