How to use
There are 2 ways you can use the Frankenstein template. You can either paint your child’s hand or you can draw around it and stick construction paper around the handprint.
Print out the template below, it will print out on three full pages.
If you are printing on colored paper please only print the first page. The second and third pages are the Halloween stickers, and these will definitely look better printed on white paper.
This Frankenstein template printable is free to print but is for personal and classroom use only. Scroll to the bottom of the post and add your email address to get the pdf file.
You can of course print this on normal printer paper, but with all of our crafts, they always look better on cardstock.
The first page is the Frankenstein handprint template.
The other two pages are stickers that you can cut around and add to the Frankenstein handprint craft.
Frankenstein hand paint
Grab the supplies above and get creating!
Let the kids decide what color handprint they want to use we have chosen green for our Frankenstein monster.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hand. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upward with their fingers directly above the bolts and the eyes. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull the child’s hand up carefully, ensuring you don’t smudge the handprint.
Let it dry completely before adding googly eyes and stickers.
Cut out the stickers and let the kids decide whether they want to add them to this picture or to another one.
The stickers are a fun way to decorate the trick or treat bags too.

Easy Halloween Frankenstein craft
Start by drawing around your child’s hand, ensuring that their fingers are pointing upward. This will give your Frankenstein creation a unique and playful twist.
To add texture and depth to your Frankenstein, gather some vibrant green construction paper. Carefully tear the paper into small, uneven pieces, giving it a jagged and whimsical appearance that’s perfect for Frankenstein’s iconic look.
With your torn green paper at the ready, it’s time to apply glue around the handprint outline on the template. Make sure to cover the entire handprint area with a thin layer of glue.
Now, here’s where the fun begins. Take those scrunched-up pieces of green paper and start attaching them to the handprint. The irregular shapes and varying shades of green will give Frankenstein’s face a wonderfully rugged and stitched-together appearance.
Encourage your child to experiment with different arrangements of the torn paper to create Frankenstein’s signature “bolted” look. They can be as creative as they like, mixing and matching the torn pieces to craft their own unique monster masterpiece.
As the glue dries and the pieces come together, you’ll have a fantastic Frankenstein Halloween craft that not only showcases your child’s creativity but also provides a memorable and spooky decoration for Halloween. It’s a fun and hands-on way to celebrate the season, and it’s sure to bring smiles and Halloween spirit to your home.
