How to prepare for Father’s Day bingo

Before diving into the Father’s Day bingo fun, it’s important to ensure you have everything needed for a seamless experience.

For those who want to save time (and can’t cut in a straight line), a paper cutter is your go-to for achieving those clean, straight edges on your calling cards, lending a professional look to your game pieces. If a paper cutter isn’t an option, scissors will do!

The markers are where your creativity can shine. Use anything that fits within the bingo squares and feels meaningful or fun. Coins, beans, buttons, or even themed markers that reflect Dad’s interests are all great choices. This is an excellent opportunity to add a personal touch to the game.

You’ll need a container to mix and draw the calling card pieces, a bag or bowl will do perfectly. This ensures every draw is fair and adds to the excitement of the game. We actually use a small black cauldron from Halloween!

How to play

Father’s Day bingo is a great way to celebrate, ideal for family gatherings, classroom activities, or party entertainment. Follow these steps for a fun game:

  1. Our Father’s Day bingo card printables are available for free for personal and classroom use. Simply scroll to the bottom of the post to download the PDF file.
  2. Ensure you have the Father’s Day bingo cards and calling cards printed out. If your group exceeds five players, print additional copies to accommodate everyone.
  3. Provide players with markers, coins, beans, buttons, or Father’s Day-themed items, to cover the called items on their bingo boards. Each card features images such as a mug or a trophy, with the center square serving as a free space, automatically included in any winning line.
  4. Choose an individual to draw and announce items from the calling cards, kickstarting the Father’s Day bingo excitement.

  1. The caller selects and announces an item from the calling card. Players then check their boards, covering any squares that match the called item with their markers.
  2. The caller keeps drawing and announcing items, with players marking their boards as they go.
  3. The first player to cover a complete line, horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, calls out “Bingo!” The game pauses for a moment to verify the winning board. If the board is correct, the player is celebrated as the winner.
  4. It’s possible for multiple players to win at the same time, especially if there are duplicate boards in play. This adds to the collective fun and enjoyment of the Father’s Day bingo game.
