Printable Easter Matching Game

Printable memory games are a timeless classic—and this Easter picture memory game is one of our favorites.

It was actually the first game my son ever won, and I still remember how proud he was.

Whether you’re using it at home, in a classroom, or as a quiet-time activity, it’s a fun way to encourage memory and focus without a screen.

Kids can even decorate the backs before playing for a bit of creative fun.

How to set up

Print two copies of the game cards to make 12 matching pairs (24 cards total). You’ll find the printable at the bottom of the page.

Two printable sheets for an Easter memory game featuring pairs of cute cartoon-style characters and items, including bunnies, carrots, children in Easter costumes, chicks, flowers, a lamb, decorated eggs, and Easter baskets. The top of each page includes simple instructions for printing, cutting, and playing the matching game. Designed for kids, the colorful layout makes it a fun and educational DIY activity from homeschoolof1.com.

If you’re using regular paper, have kids color the backs with crayons or pencils so you can’t see through. Cut them out, and you’re ready to play.

Laminating is optional, but great if you plan to reuse the game.

Four markers in matching colors—orange, purple, black, and yellow—are placed at the bottom, indicating they were used to create the designs. The swirly pattern adds a playful and vibrant touch to the card game from homeschoolof1.com.

How to play

Lay the cards face down in rows—6 by 4 works well for younger kids. Players take turns flipping two cards. If they match, the player keeps them.

If not, flip them back and try again next turn. Keep going until all the matches are found. The player with the most pairs wins.

The cards feature colorful cartoon illustrations of kids dressed as bunnies, flowers, carrots, and more, along with Easter baskets, eggs, and lambs. The backs of the cards display vibrant swirls in purple, red, green, and yellow, making it a cheerful and hands-on craft

Game twists:

  • Timed challenge: Set a timer (e.g. 1 or 2 minutes) and see how many pairs each player can find on their turn.
  • Speed round: All players race to find matches together—no turns, just fast flipping and quick thinking.
  • Memory builder: After each round, shuffle just the unmatched cards and play again to boost memory skills.
  • Decorate & play: Have kids color the backs before starting. It adds a craft element and makes the cards a bit trickier to spot.

These simple changes keep the game fresh and fun even after a few rounds.
