Earth Day Bookmarks to Color
These six Earth Day free printable bookmarks to color are one of our favorite ways to start conversations about protecting the planet.
Since Earth Day falls on April 22nd, we always set aside time that week to talk about simple ways to care for the Earth—and coloring bookmarks has become part of our tradition.
They’re the perfect size (2.5 x 8.5 inches) and print three per page, so they’re easy to share with friends, classmates, or siblings. My son loves picking a design, coloring it his own way, and sliding it into whatever book he’s reading at the time.
Whether you’re using these at home or in the classroom, they’re a fun blend of creativity and environmental awareness—and a subtle way to keep Earth Day top of mind long after April has passed.

How to Use These Earth Day Bookmarks Printable
We usually print the bookmarks on cardstock so they hold up a bit better—especially if they end up in backpacks or between well-loved pages. My son likes using markers for bold colors, but crayons or colored pencils work just as well.
Once they’re colored, we cut them out (a paper cutter makes this faster if you’re doing a bunch). You can use them as-is, or punch a hole at the top and add a ribbon for a little extra flair. We’ve even laminated a few to make them last all year!
Whether you use them for Earth Day week or keep them around as reading rewards, they’re a fun and easy way to combine creativity with environmental awareness.
