What is the circulatory system?

The circulatory system is like the body’s delivery system.

It’s made up of the heart, blood vessels, and blood.

The heart pumps blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients, to all parts of the body.

The blood vessels are like little roads that help the blood reach different places. It’s like a busy highway inside our bodies!

Vein

Veins are like blood highways that carry blood back to the heart.

They have valves that act as little traffic lights, keeping the blood flowing in the right direction.

You can explain how veins work by using a visual aid like a map of roads or highways.

Heart

The heart is the mighty pump that keeps the blood moving in our bodies.

It’s a muscular organ, about the size of our fist.

You can demonstrate the heart’s action by making a pumping motion with your own fists, showing how it contracts and relaxes to pump blood.

Artery

Arteries are like blood highways that carry blood away from the heart.

They have thick, strong walls to handle the high pressure of the pumped blood.

You can explain the importance of arteries by highlighting how they deliver oxygen and nutrients to different parts of the body. Just like a delivery truck bringing supplies to different places.
