How to set up holiday bingo

Have fun with the little ones using our free Christmas bingo cards! This simple, yet endlessly enjoyable game is perfect for preschoolers.

Each set includes five bingo cards printable and a sheet of calling cards to cut out. Place the cut-out images in a Santa hat or festive bowl for easy drawing during the game.

Print the cards in either color or black and white, any paper works, though we prefer cardstock for durability.

For a lasting set you can use next year, consider laminating the boards and images (if you’re like me, you’ll want to laminate everything!).

Use a paper trimmer or scissors to carefully cut out only the image sheet; keep the sheets labeled Christmas Bingo intact for the game boards.

A set of six colorful Christmas Bingo boards is arranged on a flat surface. Each board features a 5x5 grid filled with festive illustrations like Santa, gingerbread men, stockings, reindeer, presents, and ornaments. One sheet in the center is labeled “Christmas Bingo Calling Cards” in red and green text and displays the matching images used during the game. The designs are playful and family-friendly, ideal for a holiday classroom or home activity.

How to play

Once you’ve printed the bingo boards and cut out the calling cards, you’re ready to start the game!

A Christmas Bingo calling card sheet is placed on a paper cutter, partially sliced into smaller squares. The card features colorful holiday illustrations like Santa, ornaments, gifts, and candy canes. Surrounding the setup are festive items including two candy canes and mini North Pole signs that read phrases like “Welcome to the North Pole” and “Reindeer Flight Practice Zone.” The scene captures a holiday craft in progress.

Give each child a bingo board. With five different boards available, each player can have their own unique setup.

Provide each child with a pen or, for added fun, use dot markers.

Place the calling cards in a Santa hat or festive bowl.

Draw one card at a time and call it out (e.g., “elf carrying presents”).

In the blurred background, a Christmas Bingo game board filled with colorful holiday-themed images can be seen. The image emphasizes the detail of the individual bingo pieces used in the festive game.

Players should mark off that item if it appears on their board. Younger children might need a bit of help.

Continue playing until someone completes a line, horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, and shouts, “Bingo!”

After everyone understands the rules, start a new round and enjoy the holiday fun!

A Christmas Bingo game board is displayed at the center, featuring a 5x5 grid filled with festive illustrations like Santa, gingerbread cookies, stockings, presents, elves, and more. The board includes a “Free Space” in the middle. Surrounding the board are individual calling cards scattered on the surface, each showing a matching holiday image. The bright and cheerful setup is perfect for a Christmas-themed classroom or family activity.
