Valentine’s Day Handprint Templates (8 Free Printables)

Valentine’s handprint art
You probably have all of the supplies to make these fun little Valentine handprint crafts with preschoolers, toddlers, and your babies.
Supplies needed for the handprint crafts:
- cardstock
- washable paints (these are the ones we use for all of our handprint crafts)
- paintbrush
- Wipes!! It helps to have these handy so you don’t make a complete mess of your table!
How to make Valentine’s handprint art:
Print out the templates below, they will print out on eight full pages. They will print in portrait on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, so make sure to check the printer settings.
These free printable handprint art templates are for personal or classroom use only. Scroll to the bottom of the page to get the pdf file.
You can of course print this on normal copy paper, but with all of our crafts, they always look better on white cardstock.

Love handprint art
The first Valentine’s Day handprint is the I Love You template, and it will look like this:
Grab the supplies above and get creating!
Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for a black handprint and black footprints, but you could choose whatever colors you want.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands and feet. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upward on top of the letter O, and then paint both of their feet and add in a v shape over the letter V.
Press down all along their hands and feet to make sure the handprints transfer fully.
Pull the child’s hand and feet up carefully, ensuring you don’t smudge them.
Happy Valentine’s Day Mommy
The second and third Valentine handprint crafts for preschoolers are these Happy Valentine’s Day Mommy. No matter how big these hands grow, we will always love you, or I will always love you, and they will look like this:
I have also added exactly the same as above but saying Daddy too.

Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for red, but if you have 2 children then one could use a different color.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hands on the page. Press down all along their hands to make sure the handprint transfers fully.

I just love this Valentine’s handprint craft for the parents. Happy Valentine’s Day to the best parents in the whole world, and they will look like this:

Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upwards on top of the stem. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull the child’s hand up carefully making sure you don’t smudge the handprint.
I love you footprint template
The final Valentine’s Day footprint template is I love you, from the top of my head to the tip of my toes, and it will look like this:

Let the kids decide what color footprints they want to use. We opted for 2 red footprints. If you have 2 children you could use a different color foot for each child.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their feet. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their feet with paint and place their feet in the middle of the heart with their feet pointing upwards. Press down all along their feet to make sure the footprint transfers fully.
