Edgar Allan Poe wrote probably the most famous acrostic poem spelling ELIZABETH:

Elizabeth it is in vain you say

Now, of course, you shouldn’t expect your children to write like this! However, this is a great example of how amazing one can be.

Your child’s acrostic poem can just be one word, although try and get them to write as much as necessary for their age group.
