Fall Bookmarks to Color (Free Printable)
As the leaves start changing colors and the crisp autumn breeze fills the air, it’s the perfect time to dive into the magical world of books. And what better way to encourage the kids to read this fall than with our delightful and free fall bookmarks to color in!
Not only are these free printable bookmarks to color, but they also serve as interactive book reviews!

On one side of the bookmark, young readers can express their thoughts about the books they’ve read.
On the reverse side of the bookmark, a fall wonderland awaits! They will find an array of autumn-themed images to color, adding their unique touch to the bookmark.
The illustrations include cheerful fall buntings, exciting pumpkin mazes, friendly scarecrows, and picturesque scenes of pumpkins with charming fall signs.
Autumn bookmarks to color
There are two printable bookmarks included.
They are both the same on the book review side, where the kids need to fill out the following:
- Book title: Write down the title of the book they’ve just finished.
- Author: Give credit to the talented author behind the story.
- Rating out of 5: Rate the book based on how much they enjoyed it.
- Sketch of favorite scene or character: Let their creativity flow as they draw their favorite part of the book or a beloved character.
- Book summary: Summarize the plot briefly, capturing the essence of the story.
On the reverse side of the bookmark there is the following:
- Happy fall or autumn bunting
- A pumpkin maze
- A scarecrow or a pumpkin trailer
- Pumpkins with a fall sign or an autumn sign in front.

How to use the printable fall bookmarks?
You can download the 2 free bookmarks at the bottom of the page.
I highly recommend you print these out on cardstock (this is the one we like.) But you can choose to print them on white paper or a different color of your choosing. We opted for white and yellow.
You will need to cut around the dotted line and I personally like to use a paper cutter, as it saves me time. But of course, scissors will do the job just as well!
Fold the bookmarks in half and glue them together using washable school glue.
Now the fun begins, the kids can unleash their creativity and color the bookmarks to their heart’s content.
Once they finish reading a book, it’s time to complete the book review on the bookmark. By doing so, they not only practice their artistic skills but also hone their reading comprehension and critical thinking abilities.
Each of our charming bookmarks measures 2.5 x 8.5 inches when folded in half.
It’s the ideal size to mark your place in any book and serves as a wonderful reminder of the fantastic stories you’ve explored.
