Alexander the Great: He admired the temple and offered to fund its restoration. However, the Ephesians declined, believing the temple should remain as a symbol of its own destruction.
3rd Century BCE: The temple was rebuilt again, led by the Greek architect Dinocrates. Donations helped fund the reconstruction.
Later Years: The temple survived for centuries but was eventually destroyed by invasions and earthquakes. By the 5th century CE, it was in ruins.
Aftermath: Over time, the remaining stones were reused to build other structures in the area.
