Free Printable Easter Bunny Letter for Kids

One of our favorite traditions is leaving a little Easter Bunny letter for my son to find on Easter morning—tucked into his basket or hidden with the eggs.

It’s a simple way to add some extra magic, and this printable version makes it easy.

The letter is full of bunny puns (very on-brand for our Easter Bunny), and I love seeing the smile it brings.

Just add your child’s name, print it out, and let the Easter excitement begin.

Letter from the Easter Bunny

This printable Easter Bunny letter is a fun way to surprise your kids on Easter morning. It’s free for personal use—just scroll to the bottom of the post to grab the PDF.

Fair warning: our Easter Bunny is a big fan of cheesy puns (especially egg ones). But kids love it—and that’s what matters!

Here’s what the letter says:

Hoppy Easter!
Hip Hip Hooray,
It’s Easter today!
I am so hoppy to be back visiting you again this year.
I was so egg-cited to hear you have been really egg-xtra good this year.
While you were sleeping, I have been hopping around the place leaving eggs for you to find.
I wish I could stay to enjoy your Easter treats, but I had to go and visit all of the other children on my bunny trail.
Carry on being egg-xcellent!
Grab your Easter basket and go searching!
Lots of love, your friend,

Easter Bunny
Remember: Some bunny is thinking of you!

Additional Easter Bunny Arrival Ideas

Want to make the Easter Bunny’s visit feel even more real? These simple ideas are a hit in our house and add an extra layer of fun to Easter morning.

  • Easter bunny footprints: Cut out paper paw prints or use flour to make a trail leading to their basket or hiding spot. We like to leave the letter right at the end!
  • Easter scavenger hunt clues: Use our free printable Easter scavenger hunt for a fun twist. The indoor version has 12 rhyming clues kids love solving.
  • Outdoor Easter hunt clues: If the weather’s nice, grab the outdoor version. It gets the kids running around and burns off some jellybean energy.
  • Bunny fur: A bit of cotton wool left near the door or basket can make it feel like the Easter Bunny just left.
  • Jellybean trail: Place jellybeans leading from their room to their basket or first clue. It’s colorful, sweet, and always gets a laugh.
  • Letter to the Bunny: In the week before, have your kids write their own letter to the Easter Bunny. We like using “Easter Bunny, 123 Carrot Road, Easter Island, 88888” as the address—it adds to the magic.

These little extras don’t take much time but can make Easter morning feel truly special.

Other Free Easter Printables

If your kids can’t get enough Easter fun, we’ve got even more printables to keep them busy and happy. These are great for quiet time, family gatherings, or classroom activities—and they’re all free.

  • Easter memory game: Great for younger kids working on concentration and visual memory. This one includes bunnies, eggs, and all the springtime favorites.
