These free printable money worksheets are an excellent way to talk to the kids about money and financial literacy without bombarding them.
Learning about money can, and should be fun.
Add these worksheets to the best money board games to continue teaching kids about the importance of money management.

Shopping worksheets for kids
There are four pages to download including a cover sheet and a page of toy money.
These free math worksheets are free to print but are for personal use or classroom use only. Scroll to the end of the page to get the pdf file.
Supplies needed for the shopping worksheets
- cardstock (printer paper will also work)
- Composition book for working out
- paper cutter or scissors
- laminator (for the toy money)
- glue
- pretend toy money (if preferred)
Instructions on how to download the free shopping worksheets
Scroll to the bottom of the post and add your email to the grey box and you will receive an email with the pdf in a matter of seconds.
There are 4 pages that will download, however, you may want to print the toy money sheet a few times.
The only preparation you will need is to cut the toy money if you are using it. You do not need to though it just brings the worksheets to life.
The first page is the front page which can be added to the kid’s folder if required. You do not need to print this out if you are saving ink. (I know how expensive it can be!)
Buying books at the bookstore worksheet
The second and third pages are the actual worksheets that must be printed. If you prefer, you could print in black and white to save ink costs.
The first page shows 20 different children’s books all with today’s Amazon prices.
The second page has the 16 questions all written on an empty bookshelf.
The children will need to look at the previous page to find the answers, they will need copy paper or a composition book for the questions that need calculating.

Example questions include:
- What is the most expensive book?
- Ordering the books from the most expensive to the cheapest.
- How many books can I buy for $10?
- What book costs $11.90?
- What book is more expensive? Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Amelia Bedelia?
If you are using it with the printed money (which I highly recommend laminating so you can keep using it for other activities) ask the children to give you the money for the books.
Or show the correct amount of change with the money.

The Everything Kids Money book is aimed at upper elementary-aged students but is excellent.
